  A20-year-old security guard, Samuel Maikasuw, has been arrested by operatives of the Ikorodu division of the Lagos State Police Command over alleged molestation and impregnation of his employer’s teenage daughter. Maikasuw allegedly impregnated the 15-year-old daughter of his employer, according to a civil society organisation which is familiar with the case, the Advocates for Children and Vulnerable Peoples Network. The accused served as a gatekeeper at the house of one Fadiji who was a “surrogate parent” to the 15-year-old victim. Maikasuw was said to have been caught in a compromising position with the minor last year but was warned against repeating such.   Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu (AMEN), Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, has appealed to members of his congregation to pray for Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.   Three Senators belonging to the All Progressives Congress (APC) have resigned their membership of the ruling party. The lawmakers are Senators Ahmad Babba Kaita (Katsina North), Lawal Yahaya Gumau (Bauchi South), and Francis Alimikhena (Edo North). Senators Babba Kaita and Alimikhena defected to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party while Gumau defected to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP). The notice of their resignation and defection was contained in three separate letters read during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, on Tuesday.     Dominion Okoro, the housemaid who kìlled the mother of ex-Governor, Lucky Igbinedion of Edo state, late Madam Maria Igbinedion, has been sentenced to deāth by hanging.     A popular Twitter influencer, Frank Obegi, and three of his friends, Elijah Omeka, Mose Nyachae, and Fred Obare Mokaya, have been brùtally mùrdered in Kenya. It was gathered that the bodies of Obegi, Elijah Omeka, and Mose Nyachae were found dùmped in a forest in Lari, Kiambu County, on Sunday, June 19, while that of Fred Obare Mokaya was found in Magadi, Kajiado County. Three of the victims were extensively mangled, and it appears they were kìlled by strangulation and had their priváate par5ts cut, according to Lari OCPD, Anderson Furaha. “One of them had been partly eaten by wild animals. Their private parts had been amputated and it seems they died through strangulation. They had no identification documents and were naked,” Furaha said. The picture of a weird-looking dog was shared online recently and netizens didn’t waste time to point out that the dog has a ‘striking resemblance’ with Basketmouth. A mischievous social media user went as far as making a collage of the comedian’s picture alongside the dog’s to emphasize the alleged resemblance.
